I joined u3a last Summer, after my husband passed, as a way of meeting new people and getting out and about to actually do something. I had recently retired from a long career as a Software Test Manager, so the empty house was a bit of a shock.

So far I have joined a 'Members on their own' - MOTO - group as convenor, Line Dancing, the Strollers and Knitting and Crochet; there's so much choice.

I have recently been co-opted onto the committee as Finance Assistant, and look forward to helping the group to grow.
