Where we meet

Most groups meet at the Amersham Community Centre in Chiltern Avenue (see the orange arrow in the centre of the map below), which has good parking and is only a short walk from Amersham station. Some groups meet elsewhere in Amersham or, for those that need special facilities, nearby (e.g. Chesham, Chalfont St Peter, Little Chalfont, Watford and Rickmansworth). Some groups meet in members' homes.

Be warned that the Community Centre, Sycamore Road and station car parks are patrolled regularly by traffic wardens, who not only check that you are within time (you are allowed up to 10 minutes over the time shown on your ticket), but also that you have parked properly within a marked bay, not with one or more wheels overlapping the white lines.

The historic Barn buildings, including the large and small Barn Halls, and the block containing the Pottery Room will remain untouched by the redevelopment of the site for the Chiltern Life Centre, replacing the present gym, swimming pool and community centre roooms in main building and the library. for a history of the Barn buildings.
