"Strollers" strolls are for members of this group only. To join, please email the group email address above, it is being monitored. You will be welcome.
Strolls are 2-3 miles at an easy pace, often on uneven and sometimes hilly and muddy ground. Walking boots, waterproof and warm clothing are essential most of the year. Most of us carry a stick even if we don't always need it.
Members are expected to organise their own travel arrangements to the start of the walk although car sharing is encouraged. Help can be given to new members and those without transport. Cu3a does not permit dogs on its walks.
This outdoor activity is taken at our own risk and we must be responsible for safety ourselves, especially when crossing roads and climbing stiles. Please consider carrying your own water, medicine and first aid kit.
Click here for risk assessment for walks.
Strolls usually start and end at a pub. Most strollers stay for a light lunch but it's not compulsory. Usually we have to pre-order our choice (through the stroll leader, not the group convenors) sometimes several days in advance.
If you have booked lunch, you are honour bound to stay and enjoy.
It is very unusual to cancel a stroll because of rain but for safety reasons it might be necessary.
