The Strollers Group caters for those who like to walk but at a more leisurely pace than the other Walking Groups. We average around 3 miles over terrain that is not too taxing with as few stiles as possible. Waterproof clothing & strong footwear are essential. The safety guidelines given for the main Walking Group apply equally to Strollers. 

If you wish to take part in any of the walks please contact the leader and let them know if you are staying to lunch. 

Volunteers to lead Strolls are always needed – please contact the Convenor with details (to be received before 15 October for inclusion in the November Newsletter

Thursday, 12 August:  Saunter through Shardeloes Estate. Leader: Margaret, email
3 miles. No Stiles. Meet in the slip road to the Shardeloes Cricket Ground accessed from the roundabout at the end of Amersham bypass (A413). Start time: 10:30. For those staying for lunch there is a choice of eating places in either Old Amersham or Little Missenden.
Monday, 23 August:  A Turn Around Weston Turville. Leaders: Sheila & Maureen.  email 
Approx. 3 miles. Easy walking with 3 stiles towards the end. Take the A413 to Wendover. Go through the town, turn left at the roundabout and follow the A413 towards Aylesbury. Turn right at sign to Weston Turville/Aston Clinton (Worlds End Lane) and continue to roundabout with Shandos Arms Pub opposite. Park in the road, or pub Car Park if staying for lunch. Start time: 10:45.
Wednesday, 8 September:  Ivinghoe Coombe. Leader: Jean. 
Under 3 miles, no stiles. Mainly easy walking through woodland with a very steep uneven stepped descent into the Coombe, but there is a handrail. Take the B4506 from Northchurch through the Ashridge Estate taking a left turn at Ringshall towards the Beacon. Park in the main Car Park for the Beacon on the right about 200 yards past the cattle grid. 10:00 start. Lunch at the Bridgewater Arms, Little Gaddesdon.
Thursday, 23 September:  Seer Green & Jordans. Leader: Ann. 
Easy walking over 3 miles with one stile. At Jordans we will have a guided tour of the Rebuilt Quaker Meeting House (donations welcome) but please bring some plastic bags or overshoes if wet. Meet at the Cricketers pub in the centre of Seer Green village for a start time of 10:30. Park in the Cricketers Car Park, if staying for lunch. If not, park in the road behind the Church, which is opposite the pub. From Amersham take the A355 road towards Beaconsfield, turning left into the road signposted to Seer Green. Then take the second left turning into the centre of the village.
Wednesday, 6 October:  River Chess and the Watercress Beds. Leader: Pam 
A repeat of a walk in February this year but this time in reverse, so no steep uphill walk at the end! 3.5 miles with at least two stiles. Meet outside the Red Lion, Chenies, also our lunch venue - food to be pre-ordered. Start time 10:30.
Wednesday, 27 October:  White Hawridge Bottom & Ramscote Woods. Leader: Jean
A really lovely easy walk of 3.5 miles & 3 stiles. Meet outside Jean's (parking for five cars-please share if possible) address to be supplied. Lunch afterwards at the Blue Ball, Asheridge a short drive away. Start time: 10:00
