We aim to provide a good mix of Jazz Music from all eras, presented by our
own members and occasionally by good friends from other parts and professional
musicians. We take our Jazz seriously but have a great time doing it! Started in
the Autumn of 2002 by Mike, very ably supported by his wife Sheila, it quickly
became a very popular group. They have done a tremendous job and quite
understandably feel it is time for a rest and to relax into being regularly
attending members without responsibilities. In other walks of life Mike would
now be elevated to the Lord's or appointed Life President! Thank you Mike and
Sheila for all the hard work you have put into our much loved group.
| 16 August: | 'Mike and Sheila'. For this final meeting for Mike as Convenor, he and Sheila will present some of their favourite numbers. Sheila will take the first half with the emphasis on "trad" and Mike the second with "middle of the road" tending towards modern. Come along to make this a bumper farewell session for them both. |
