Excursion to the Spencer Gallery at Cookham, This follows on from Stephen Palmer’s enlightening talk on the artist and his life, at the July meeting. It is fully subscribed and those chancing the weather will take a picnic lunch. |

| 5 September: | We had hoped to visit a local artist’s home but will probably have to plan something else because of illness. Members will be informed when matters are clearer. |
| 3 October: | Henry Moore - another member of the Group, Sidney, will talk on the sculptor’s life and works. We shall also be looking at members’ favourites, held over from the popular May meeting. |
Looking further ahead, we shall enjoy presentations on Edward Hopper, miniature painting, the setting up of an internationally renowned museum and Beryl Shaw’s ever popular Christmas Art Quiz. The programme for 2009 is also taking shape.
