Activities

In August we shall hold our usual summer social event. In September and October we shall be looking at archaeological sites and activities in the Lebanon. The sites will include Baalbeck and Anjar. We shall also examine the Phoeniecian period in the Lebanon, and what happened to some of the Crusader castles in the country. We have now completed our study of early man in the Americas, the subsequent development of the Native Americans, and their encounters with the European settlers. I think we learnt quite a lot from this and, in the process, overturned a few myths and stereotypes. We have, for the moment, left them, the American peoples, that is, stuck in the central American isthmus, to where we may return to try and find out what happened next.

The group is full for the time being.

Current Programme

2 August; 6 September and 4 October.
