Following a request from members it is now planned to meet on the third
Saturday of each month as well. Meetings begin at 10.00 with coffee and time for
members to socialize and then follows an informal business session to arrange
activities. The aims of the group are - first to provide a forum for members to
get to know each other, second to facilitate small group activities e.g. pub
lunches, cinema visits etc and third to organize larger group outings.
A canal trip has been arranged for 22 July and some people meet regularly for
lunch on weekdays and Sundays. If the interest is there, small groups for more
active pursuits, such as walking, are a possibility. New members are welcome and
we aim to be co-educational! (Next meetings on 2 and 16 August - just turn up)
